Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' creates a record in overall overseas opening

Ever since the day of release Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' has been creating a box office records. Despite getting mixed reviews the film has been taken over by the audience in their hearts and it is performing extremely well in theaters with even the week days' shows running houseful in major centers.

Now the latest we learn is that 'Kabali' has collected over $11 million in overseas box office in its first weekend. This is equivalent to Rs.75 crores of Indian money and this is reportedly the biggest record of opening weekend collection in overseas locations by an Indian film.

Meanwhile the film is continuing its phenomenal box office run in Chennai where the film has been screened 100s of shows across 26 screens. The official Newspaper ads of 'Kabali', reveals that the film has collected above Rs.4.55 crores in Chennai in just four days. (Rs.4,55,15,964 is the exact figure). This includes the collections made on a weekday that is Monday.

Directed by Pa.Ranjith and produced by Kalaipuli.S.Thanu, 'Kabali' is on the way to emerge as the biggest Tamil blockbuster in the history. .
