Volunteering for the NGO 'Teach For Change', Rakul Preet Singh today taught English to the eight standard kids of Government High School, Banjara Hills.
"The leading actress of Tollywood transacted a module where she taught opposite words and conducted a English speaking activity for the students. She was here to Spread the message of "Be the Change, Teach for Change", a source from the NGO says.
It's not like Rakul got the chance just because she is a celeb. She was selected for the same after a screening process. "The volunteers who apply are screened to check their English proficiency, commitment and then trained and certified in the English Program before they engage with the students directly in the classrooms. Every Volunteer commits to this program for a minimum of one academic year," the NGO says in a statement.
Rakul's efforts to do her bit are commendable.
