Ram Kapoor wins over Mayor of Chandigarh

Ram Kapoor's latest release ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ (MDKM) has created immense buzz over his character in the film. Ram however carries a huge fan following and now recently there is a new addition in his list of fans.

During the shooting of the film which was set in Chandigarh, Ram got himself a new fan. The fan is none other the Mayor of Chandigarh herself.

The lady seems to have known Ram Kapoor from his much talked about TV serial "Baade Ache Lagte Hain" and couldn't stop appreciating Ram. Later when the mayor learnt that the actor is shooting in her very own city, she just had to meet Ram.

However, the mayor got her dream come true and eventually met the actor. The mayor conveyed all her love and her fan craze to the actor. Ram on the other hand was very moved by the mayor's affection and love for him.

The actor was glad to meet the mayor as he was shooting at Chandigarh itself. Ram remarked, "It was an honour to meet the mayor of Chandigarh who personally visited me on the sets while we were shooting for Mere Dad Ki Maruti".

MDKM stars Saqib Saleem and Rhea Chakroborty as the lead starcast. Released on 15th March 2013, the film is a major joyride directed by Ashima Chibber.
