Countdown has begun for 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya'. In less than 72 hours from now, the film would be unveiled and the industry for have a newcomer making his entry. While one looks forward to what debutant Girish Kumar has to offer, it is his fresh pairing with Shruti Hassan that is also expected to do the talking.

"This is the first time ever for a Hindi film that Prabhudheva is launching a new hero in a romantic film. He has gone all out to make sure that the new romantic 'jodi' of Girish and Shruti makes an instant impression. After all, audience is really demanding today and expectations are huge from first timers as well," comments an insider.

Prabhudheva and producer Kumar Taurani were aware of that and this is one of the major reasons behind the film turning out to be an out and out musical.

"Since TIPS comes with a music background of it's own, it was a given that 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' had to boast of popular music," a source adds, "Composers Sachin-Jigar and lyricist Priya Panchal understand the pulse of the youth and they were roped in with very good confidence. With 'Jeene Laga Hoon' turning out to be such a smash hit, the film should benefit from its popularity."

This is something that Girish is happy about as well.

"When the music catches on, there are better chances of your movie garnering a safe opening," he says, "Of course after first day or two it is your movie which speaks for itself. Fortunately, we have a lot of good songs in our kitty. Moreover, there is a lot of storytelling through the songs. Shruti and I are not just dancing around; we convey a lot through these songs. Never once would you see the film getting into the pause mode once the songs play in the narrative."

We look forward to that indeed being the case once the film releases all over this Friday.
