Noted producer Ramu's next venture is tentatively titled as 'Ghooli' starring Sudeep. P.N.Sathya who directed Majestic, Swamy, Saradara, Thangigaagi is the director of this action film for masses. Earlier Ramu produced 'Kichcha' for Sudeep and distributed three of his films. Another film of producer Ramu that is going on the floor in the middle of 2007 is 'Kiran Bedi' starring his wife Malashri. This is based on upright noted cop of this country Kiran Bedi's life.

Meanwhile Ramu is not able to release 'Preethigaagi' (starring Murali and Sridevi – directed by S.Mahender) because the collection of 'Jothe Jotheyalli' is splendid in Triveni theatre. 'JJ' is next to 'My Autograph' in collection.

I am likely to come with 'Preethigaagi' in Triveni on January 5th he hopes. If the collection is good I would wait says Ramu for the release of 'Preethigaagi'. He has released Kannada film 'Hubballi' recently in 'Hubballi' area and the collection has been impressive. He disclosed that after a long time a mass film has clicked.

Senior producer of Kannada filmdom Ramu is optimistic of an early end to the present film industry crisis. On the expansion of market to Kannada films he says already 80 theatres in Karnataka are showing cinema through satellite. The print cost of Rs.65000 is costing only Rs.10000 for the producers. We should make use of this opportunity and conquer the remote areas by feeding the Kannada films. The strength is very good in border areas for Kannada films. But sadly they are showing Telugu films as they get regular feeding to their theatres averred Ramu.

On the possible situation Kannada film screening theatres would face with stopping of new productions Ramu agrees to the point made by Rockline that we have stock to feed the theatres till June 2007. This is on an average of two films a week.

What is after that? Is there a danger of non Kannada films occupying Kannada film screening theatres? Ramu just smiles.

On the under production film 'Masthi' (starring Upendra and Jennifer Kothwal) Ramu says Shivamani has cranked 1.50 lakh feet in 100 days. He has to shoot three more songs. Perhaps this film would be the highest length of shooting in the history of Kannada cinema says Ramu.

It may be recalled that recently producer Shankare Gowda of 'Hubballi' said nearly 1 crore of rupees is wastage before the release of the film. That is because of the 1.20 lakh feet shooting done by director Om Prakash Rao. As against 15000 feet nearly 1.20 lakh feet shooting has resulted in this waste of Rs.1 crore he admitted. This one crore waste is inclusive of raw stock, the artiste, technicians and cine workers payment he clarified for a question.
