While a few of her colleagues are joining the different political parties the pride of Kannada cinema Ramya alias Divya Spandana is taking up by election campaign via road shows for her Congress-I party candidate in Chickmagalur LS seat.

Chickmagalur is very prominent LS seat for Congress-I because it is from here Smt Indira Gandhi former Prime Minister contested and won the election.

On Wednesday Ramya with senior Party colleague RV Deshpande and others went in an open jeep at Kundapura and other places urging for vote to Congress I candidate Jayaprakash Hegde. Ramya in her speech urged the youths to come in more numbers and cast votes so that Congress I wins in very good majority. ‘I have come to Congress-I without any aspirations for positions’ disclosed Ramya.

Cognress-I general secretary at the national level Oscar Fernandes reminded the 1978 election to this place that has given the rebirth to political life of Smt Indira Gandhi.
