The sitting member of Parliament from Madya Lok Sabha seat sandalwood queen Ramya is thrilled with her first honor of state award for ‘Sanju Weds Geetha’. In the last 10 years Ramya delivered nearly dozen roles that deserved state awards but it eluded her. This is her first state award in a decade plus stay in cinema industry.

Ramya tweeted – ‘I dedicate this award to my father’ – It was my father who was hoping for award. It is so unfortunate that Ramya father is not living today.

Ramya also thanks her fans and well wishers for getting this honor. Ramya got the news of the award for her performance in ‘Sanju Weds Geetha’ when she was with people of her constituency in Pandavapura.
