The Tamil version of Nene Raju-Nene Mantri`, titled as 'Naan Aanayittal', will hit the screens on Sept 22.

Starring Rana Daggubati and Kajal Aggarwal as a married couple, the film has as the anchor the husband-wife relationship in a political backdrop. The drama will have to brave Mahesh Babu's 'SPYder' (Sept 27 release) and 'Karuppan' (Sept 29 release).

The Telugu version, released on August 11, was a cool BO hit. The surprising end, the performances of the main cast, the village backdrop and the raw feel helped the film click with the audiences.

Rana needs to score a hit in Tamil. Let's see if he is on the track.
