If everything goes well, Rana Daggubati could soon play a Naval Officer in what could be Tollywood`s first submarine film. Apparently, the underwater war drama is based on the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi -the Pakistani attack submarine deployed to assault Indian aircraft carrier Vikrant during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

Sankalp, a Hyderabad-based filmmaker, recently bounced the plot to the actor, who has given the film his nod. The director is currently working on giving final touches to the story and will meet Rana for a final narration soon. Buzz is that the filmmakers have approached Prakash Raj to play the Indian commander.
