'Rang Rasiya' wins Audience Award at London Film Fest

The 2nd London Indian Film Festival (June 30 - July 12) witnessed the showcase of some of the notable works from the Indian cinema of recent times. Besides, the audiences had voted for their favourite films across 28 screenings in the course of the fest. And among them which took away the limelight was filmmaker Ketan Mehta's 'Rang Rasiya', starring Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen.

The movie, which revolves around the famous Indian artist Raja Ravi Varma and his muse Sugandha, bagged the Audience Award and Mehta was quite elated over his win. Remarked the distinct and talented director, "I am thrilled that my passion project has won the award. The premiere at the Victoria and Albert Museum was wonderful and the interaction with London audiences was great. This award is the icing on the cake."

Incidentally, the festival commenced with the World Premiere of Abhinay Deo's 'Delhi Belly'. Another Indian movie which had UK premiere was Anurag Kashyap's 'That Girl In Yellow Boots'.
