The trailer looks all full and promising. After a very serious theme of ‘No One Killed Jessica’, ‘Aiyyaa’ comes as a refreshing breeze from the talented light eyed actress Rani Mukherjee.

Produced by Anurag Kashyap and directed by Sachin Kundalkar, ‘Aiyyaa’ released its trailer recently, and people have just lapped it up for its colourful and comic content.

Rani looks very different and bubbly as the Maharashtrian mulgi Meenakshi while south star Prithviraj as Suriya seems be the next hot dude of B-town.

Now coming from a contradictory background as that of Bengali roots, Rani had undergone a learning experience for her role as Marathi girl in ‘Aiyyaa’ - and she gives all the credit to director Sachin for teaching and preparing her to get the right feel.

At the first look launch of the film, Rani told to media that the director was very keen to have Rani portraying a typical Marathi character - be it through her clothes, body language or the way of speaking.

Playing a very film and crazy character, Rani is quite happy that she took up the project. She revealed that her character is inspired from several yesteryear actresses and always seems to be her own filmy dream world.

Talking about it, Rani said, "My character is a huge fan of Sridevi, Juhi and Madhuri. She dreams about them and goes into a fantasy world all the time."

After doing intense roles in ‘No One Killed".’ and forthcoming ‘Talaash’, Rani felt that she had enough of dark subjects and wanted to do lighter movies.

"When Anurag came to me, I told him I don't want to do dark films. I told Anurag I want to do happy films and he told me he is offering me one," quoted the actress in an interview.

Anurag Kashyap produces ‘Aiyyaa’ along with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures while the film hits the screens on 12th Oct 2012.
