Recently nineties' ravishing screen beauty Ranveena Tandon launched her own jewellery line along with jewellery designer Roopa Vohra. When asked how she entered this venture, the actress stated that her friends had always wanted her to come up with her signature line as well as Roopa was also encouraging and so she decided to give it a try.
Raveena who is making a comeback with Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet' is said to be quite excited to be part of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer. Talking about her role in the film, Raveena at the launch said that she plays a small character as a jazz singer. She is said to be featuring alongside filmmaker Karan Johar, who is making his screen debut with this film in a grey character. Incidentally Kashyap has signed Ranveena over a two-film deal, of which is 'Bombay Velvet'.
Coming to the jewellery store launch.. It was interesting to note that the occasion was attended by Shilpa Shetty among other celebrities. It can be recalled that once upon a time both Raveena and Shilpa were not seeing eye-to-eye owing to their then common boyfriend, Akshay Kumar. Now seems like both the actresses have put things of the past in closet and become friends.
