Tinsel town had been in shock when arrest warrant was issued to movie team ‘Ram-Leela’, including filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, lead cast Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone - following a FIR citing some content of film which is hurtful on Hindu religious ground.

In a latest development in the matter, a Division Bench of Allahabad High Court, reportedly has passed a stay order on the arrest of the trio. The Bench, comprising of Justice Arun Tandon and Justice Shashi Kant, however has not closed the case, although the team are free as of now.

Incidentally the film’s producer Kishore Lal and film's lyricists were also issued the arrest warrant earlier.

It can be recalled during the release of 'Ram-Leela', advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in November 2013 had filed a complaint against the film's team for hurting Hindu sentiments through its content. The case was taken up by SP Singh, the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Muzaffarpur, who had asked Bhansali, Ranveer and Deepika to turn up. However they failed to turn up; following which the Magistrate issued the arrest warrant and asked the Mumbai Police to take the action against the trio and produce them in his court on 4th June.
