Rathnavelu prioritizes Rajini's call

Acclaimed Cinematographer Rathnavelu has been rejecting many offers since he has been secretly doing the groundwork his directorial debut. However he has put his direction plans at the back seat and signed the offer to crank the camera for Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Lingaa’ that will be directed by K.S.Ravikumar.

Rathnavelu says he has been receiving quite many offers from Tamil and Telugu industries after seeing his work for ‘Endhiran’ and Nenokkadine.’ He says he let go them because he wanted to started writing the script for his directorial debut which has been his seven year long dream. However Rathnavelu accepted the offer to work for ‘Lingaa’ just because Superstar called him up and requested him to work for the film. Rathnavelu has also said that he admires the Superstar and can not disappoint him.

Rathnavelu has also revealed that ‘Lingaa’ will be a action entertainer like ‘Muthu’ and ‘Padiayappa’ the earlier film directed by Ravikumar with Rajini.

‘Lingaa’ star Rajinikanth in dual roles. Anushka and Sonakshi Sinha have been confirmed to play the heroines and A.R.Rahman will be composing the music. The film has been launched in Mysore today (May 2).
