As the release date of 'Kick 2' is nearing, the buzz surrounding the film has gotten bigger. Ravi Teja, who is in good form with back to back hits 'Balupu' and 'Power' is now all excited about his forthcoming release. He shares some interesting things about the film, about his plans to do 'Kick 3' and 'Idiot 2', what happened to the 'Special 26' remake etc in an interview.

He exudes confidence that 'Kick 2' will be a blockbuster. "'Kick 2' is much entertaining and much bigger than the first part", says the Mass Maharaj. "I play Robin Hood in the film and my character will be very entertaining. 'Kick 2' is completely different from 'Kick'. It is not at all a sequel. The film is all about a man, who does anything for his 'comfort' ".

So has he any plans for another sequel ? "Yes, I will definitely do 'Kick 3', if a good story comes my way. I know Surender Reddy since he was an assistant director. We share a good rapport and I would love to work with him every time. No one expected that 'Kick' will be so entertaining. He proved that he can also handle entertaining subjects well with that film and continued it with 'Race Gurram'".

About working with Kalyan Ram, he says, "I was supposed to work in Kalyan Ram's banner six years back. But the project materialized only now. He is a very good person and didn't compromise regarding the budget of this film. He even took care of the post production work, so that the film will be qualitative. So the film has been delayed".

He is looking very lean of late. Did he lose weight for the film ? "No", Ravi Teja says, "I used to weigh over 80 kg before the start of the film and I want to shed those extra kilos. Now my weight is 70-72 kg. I did the film during the process of losing weight and I didn't do it particularly for the film".

About her co-star Rakul Preet Singh and technicians, he says, "Rakul is a very hardworking actress and it is why she is bagging many big projects. She is also considered as a lucky charm in the industry. We hope that luck factor works out for our film too. Thaman gives good music to me every time. But didn't expect that 'Kick 2' album will be such a big hit. I like the way he composed "Mummy Kadupulona" song. Manoj Paramhamsa did a fantastic job as a cinematographer. The visuals look rich in the film. Ram-Laxman also worked hard for the fights".

It's been three years since Ravi Teja last teamed up with his friend Puri Jagannadh. So, when they are going to work together once again. "After the big success of 'Idiot', we planned to to 'Idiot 2'. But the film didn't materialize. But we will definitely do it. It's been a long time since we worked together and we want to do a film soon".

There was a news some time back that Ravi will star in the remake of Akshay Kumar's super hit Bollywood film 'Special 26'. What happened to that project ? "We were supposed to remake Special 26 in Telugu. But the nativity of that film is very different compared to ours. The characters in that film are dull and our audiences don't like such films. So I backed out of the project".
