A major change in the Maniratnam - Karthi Film?

It has been widely reported that Maniratnam`s next film will feature Karthi in the lead role and as of now Dulquer Salman and Keerthi Suresh has been finalized for the other lead characters. A.R. Rahman is set to score the music.

It is learnt that Maniratnam`s regular cinematographer and close friend P.C. Sriram may not be on board for this new film and Mani instead has gone for Ravi Varman, the acclaimed cameraman of films like Dasavatharam` , Vettaiyadu Vilayadu`, Anniyan` and the recent Hindi blockbuster Barfi`. Shooting for the as yet untitled film is likely to begin in September with an eye for a Pongal 2016 release.
