Heroines' appearing for an item number is the trend in Kollywood. After the likes of Meena, Kiran, Simran and Nayantara, recently Shriya appeared for a song in 'Indiralohathil Na Azhaggapan'.

Now joining the list is 'Karuppasamy Kuthagikarar' fame Meenakshi.

Meenakshi, who is playing the female lead in movies including 'Perumal' and 'TN 07 AL 4777', is appearing alongside Vishal for a song in the movie 'Thoranai'. It was shot in Karaikudi amidst a host of dancers and models from Bangalore.

'Thoranai' starring Vishal and Shriya is directed by Sabha Ayyappan and has musical score by Mani Sharma.
