After recently making news through the acquisition of the Nizam rights of Rebel (and area-specific rights of Gabbar Singh and Andala Rakshasi earlier), 'Dil' Raju has now made news by acquiring the theatrical release rights of Shekar Kammula's Life Is Beautiful. Unlike the case of Happy Days, the release rights of which he acquired for the entire State, he has acquired the rights of LIB for a limited area.

LIB, clearly the biggest of Kammula's movies, had already earned huge revenue when its overseas rights were sold. Even MAA TV acquired the satellite rights at a higher cost than any of his previous films fetched.

Meanwhile, the Ceded business is being sealed for, again, a higher price.

LIB is slated for Sep 13 release.
