Finally, the marathon production of producer director YVS Chowdary is seeing light. The movie supposed to be the debut of Sai Dharam Tej, the nephew of Chiranjeevi went through several phases of hardships of production including budget escalation and finally completes production. The film is slated for a Pongal release.

Disclosing the news, the producer direcor Chowdary said ‘Rey is a mass love story in the lines of Devadasau and Desa Muduru and will thrill and excite the audiences with its quirky body language, scenes and fights. The first half has a West Indies setting and the second half, American. We shot in both the Caribbean islands and the USA as per the FDC restrictions. Huge budgets and production values, colorful settings will be the aura of the film’

Talking about the actors, he said ‘Sai Dharam Tej will certainly make his mark as a mass hero after this film. Sayyami Kher has a great screen presence. Sradhdha Das played a crucial role. And they are ably supported by Brahmanandam, Ali, MS Narayana, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Tanikella Bharani, venu Madhav, Raghu Babu etc. Songs will be as good and grad as my previous films had been’

Music for the film is composed by Chakri and lyrics are by Chandra Bose.
