Richa Gangopadhyay has rejected eight movie offers, since she was not impressed with the scripts. "Story and my character are the two important things I look for," the 'Osthe' and 'Mayakkam Enna' actress says.

"The life of a film lies in its story. I don't want to sign a project just for the sake of acting in more number of films or to earn money. I would like to be part of meaningful movies", she makes things clear.

Richa, who is currently shooting for 'Bikram Singha', the Bengali remake of Tamil blockbuster 'Siruthai', says, "I am happy to do a movie in my mother tongue. Some changes were made to the heroine role and it is an interesting one."

A former beauty pageant winner in America, Richa spent around a year in Coimbatore when she was very young. "I still have fond memories of the place and the people. Chennai and Kovai are the two cities I love in Tamil Nadu."
