Karan Johar is in a self-admitted mess. The music of his forthcoming big-budget-hungama ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ has released to mixed response and he feels the comparison with Kal Ho Na Ho is not fair. Currently he is shooting a song Rock-n-Roll at the film temple in Yashraj Studios for the next ten days. The song is being choreographed by ‘good friend’ Farah Khan. It’s the only thing that is left in the film as it required Amitabh Bachchan (Who had been out of action due to his illness) and Abhishek Bachchan. KANK is all set for a grand August release.

The trailer of KANK which was first shown with ‘Fanaa’ has elicited a tremendous response. It is not the usual Karan Johar film. No doubt, it is about relationships with a dash of bhangra. But Johar for the first time is also trying to deal with ‘adultery’ in his films. Shahrukh Khan – Preity Zinta and Abhsihek Bachchan – Rani Mukherjee are married couples who get attracted to each other’s opposite number. So Abhi romances Preity while Shah likes the conventional approach of Rani. Shot in the winters in US, KANK has brilliant visuals and is most certainly the most awaited film of the year.

Karan is also upbeat about Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali from the band Fusion who has sung the unconventional ‘Mitwa’. It was the joint decision of Shankar Mahadevan and Johar of asking Ali to do this track which will go down well with the masses. With the date of release approaching fast, Karan Johar’s heart is rocking with nervousness and his head is rolling with pressure.
