The movie is making waves, first and foremost its hot title song featuring Deepika Padukone, then its cast and last its subject…..

Releasing on April 22, ‘Dum Maro Dum’ revolves around drugs mafia, cops and flesh trade - all in the backdrop of Goa. The movie’s trailers initially faced unrest from Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG), for they felt that it’s presenting the beautiful state in bad manner and it will create wrong impression on outsiders.

However, director Rohan Sippy giving reasons dismisses such concerns. According to him the story can happen in any place, be it Goa or Mumbai. It is just that Goa has been brought in as a fictional character and not to be shown in a bad light. "The film doesn’t imply that Goa is the worst place to visit or anything negative; it is just a character of my film,” stated the filmmaker to sources.

In his previous movie 'Bluffmaster' (also starring Abhishek Bachchan) Rohan had explored Mumbai. So this time he said to have chosen Goa as he wanted to similarly explore the scenic beauty of the place which is world-known. “It's the best place, it's a paradise on earth and with its beauty; I wanted to bring some thrill. I found scope of creating drama and it has left a stunning visual effect on me and will on my audience too,” he added.
