In a very impressive run , Boban Samuel's latest 'Romans' has emerged the first big hit of the year. The movie which has completed its fifty days is still continuing in twenty plus release centres. The Kunchakko Boban- Biju Menon movie has already amassed a share of six crores for its producers and is sure to grab in a little more in the coming days.

The other movie which is into its fifty days this week seems to be Mammootty-Dileep combo's 'Kammath and Kammath'. The movie which was made in a budget of 8.5 crores has just managed to make safe for its producer largely due to the satellite rights which the movie fetched at a rate of 4.5 crores.'Kammath and Kammath' continues in six centres in its fifty days.

The other movie which is sending in fine signals to its producers seems to be the award winner of the year 'Celluloid'. This Prithvriaj-Kamal movie is into its fifth week and continues in around 35 plus centres. The movie is sure to turn profit to its makers.

Apart from these movies, the only other flicks among the 30 odd films that came out in the first two months of the year, that emerged as safe earners for its producers include 'Fahad Fazil's 'Annayum Rasoolum' which had a silent but appreciable run to 50 days. 'Gireesh's 'Nee Ko Njan cha' may also become an average earner for its producers.
