Rowdy Surya Collector Anand Review

Arjun may not have very many mega hits under his belt. But there is no questioning his staying power and his ability to take rough with the smooth. He has managed to keep himself in the running in both Tamil and Telugu with some adroit moves.

For one, he doesn't experiment too much; provides what the fans expect of him. His own acting style is compact. And in songs and fights, he is an absolute live wire.

Rowdy Surya, Collector Anand is expected to be a typical Arjun entertainer. The film originally christened Rowdy Collector after some objections were raised. As the new title itself suggests, the film features Arjun in a dual role with the petite heroines Laila and Chaya Singh playing love interests in the film.

As the director Manoj Kumar says the film is a mass entertainer with all the elements that an average fan will look for in a movie. There are five songs and plenty of carefully choreographed fights that will showcase Arjun's ability with the limbs.

For Laila and Chaya Singh, movie is important as they both are desperately in need of big hits. A good show here will surely open new vistas for them.

Director Manoj Kumar is quite adept at handling masala subjects and he says that the film has come out very well. `Arjun is playing two roles of a Collector and as a rowdy He has given excellent performance in both the roles'.

The film has been shot in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and abroad.

The movie is being simultaneously released in Tamil as Jayasurya.

Like the film's namesake in international cricket, hopefully this film too plays a blazing innings.
