Royal treatment for Sasikala in jail

AIAIDMK chief Sasikala Natarajan allegedly paid a Rs. 2 crore bribe to jail officials to get special treatment, according to the a report filed by DIG Prisons D Roopa. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ordered a probe into the case.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Prisons Roopa Moudgil said that the bribe went into getting Sasikala a special kitchen, among other facilities, and Rs. 1 crore was paid to the Director General of Prisons (DGP) Satyanarayana Rao, who has denied all allegations. He said that the DIG who made the allegations did not know the rules and that he was only following court orders.
