Gunasekhar, is known as a director who makes his producers to spend a fortune on settings. Now this director is planning to bring out a film on 'Rudrama Devi' of Kakatiya Dynasty. In order to not to compromise on the background settings and the CG works, he himself established a production work on the banner of Guna Team Works and is bringing out the film in stereoscopic 3D format.

For a test shoot, a team from Guna Team Works had left for Germany and felt satisfied with the test shoot and returned to India. Later, Gunasekhar and art director Padmasri Thota Tharani visited Warangal and noticed the Warangal Fort, Thousand Pillars temple, Ramappa temple and other important places. Later, they met some historians and learnt some more about Warangal and Kakatiya Dynasty. Thota Tharani had prepared all the sketches. Some of them would be built and some more would be prepared with the help of CG works.

Speaking on the occasion, Gunasekhar says, 'This is the first ever Stereoscopic 3D film in Telugu. We are planning to bring out the history of Kakatiya Dynasty of 13th century AD. Many suggested Anushka could only play the character and hence we convinced her for the title role.' Music is by Maestro Illayaraja, camera is by Ajay Vincent, editing is by Srikar Prasad, action is by Ram-Laxman, VFX supervising is by Kamal Kannan, while story, screenplay, direction and production are by Gunasekhar.
