Rushi is not any other small film. It is a small film produced by a big production house with noble intentions. The clean entertainer set in the backdrop of a medical college campus is directed by Raj Madiraju. It stars Arvind Krishna and Supriya Sailaja in the leads. Rushi's first look and logo were released yesterday. It was attended by Dasari and Murali Mohan among others.

Dasari blessed the movie in his own style. While patting the back of producer Ramesh Prasad (LV Prasad's son), he said that big production houses should make small movies. "There was a time when heroes who were taking a remuneration of Rs. 10 lacs would be ready to slash their fee by ten times when a big producer offered them a film", Dasari pointed out. He said that he was proud to see his 52nd assistant, Raj, has become a director.

Ramesh Prasad was seemingly glad at making a meaningful movie. "I am happy that a film is coming from our production house after a gap of 20 years. I liked the way the director narrated the story. This is a good subject. I never looked back before making it. I am confident that the film will generate good audience response".

Raj Mudiraj said that the film has been inspired by a poem penned by C Narayana Reddy. The entire story is based on a character by name Shekhar.
