Sabari

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Tamil Comments

With all works over for Vijayakanth's Sabari, the movie directed by Suresh is all set for release soon.

Interestingly, the film has a few first time combos. Jyothirmayi, who acted opposite Sundar C in Thalainagaram, is the heroine of Sabari. Also, composer Mani Sharma and Vijayakanth have come together.

"Sabari will be a very different film for me. The story impressed me a lot and that's why I accepted the project," says the Captain.

Sabari deals with the problems of doctors. According to Suresh, the film is tailor-made for Captain.

"Vijayakanth has not done the role of a doctor in any of his films. This doctor has solutions not only for patients but for society as well."

The movie is action-based and Vijayakanth appears in a different role in this movie. Salem A. Chandrasekharan produces the movie.

Action never fades in Captain's movies, so this film is also full of action. The movie is shot in various places like Chennai, Pondicherry, Rameshwaram and Jaipur.

Malavika plays the other heroine. Music by Mani Sharma is other major highlight. All the songs have already become popular.

Adds Suresh, "The film will feature Vijayakanth as a brainy and brawny doctor, who fights the evils in the society."

"There are enough commercial elements and the end product has come out really well," he says and adds, "All the characters have given their best."

Suresh's earlier films Gambeeram and Arasu were action-oriented and no different is Sabari.
