It has been a long journey for cricketer Sadagoppan Ramesh from cricketing pitches to don the grease paint and being before the camera. Smoothly easing out of cricket, the player entered in Tamil films when he bagged a role in M. Raja's family entertainer 'Santhosh Subramanium'.

This film saw Sadagoppan Ramesh essaying the role of hero 'Jayam' Ravi's elder sibling. While the film did well the character essayed by the cricketer failed to garner goodie points for him as an actor.

But Sadagoppan Ramesh is not the type to sit and droll over what went wrong in the past. After being one of the judges in a reality comedy show on silver screen the batsman got an offer for playing the lead's role in a Tamil film.

'Potta Potti 50-50' (PPFF), insiders reveal, is an all round comedy caper which is sure to have the audience in splits. Not only that, the film sees Ramesh as a popular cricketer who is destined to teach a village full of cricket lovers the intricacies of the game. And what follows is rib-tickling comedy.

The film is directed by Yuvraj, and sees Sadagoppan Ramesh sharing screen space with Harini. The director is confident that this film will sell with the audience. And for all the cricketing fans, there is also a cricket match towards the climax which will have the audience at the edge of their seats, assures the director!
