'Saguni' releasing on Friday in maximum number of theatres in Tamil Nadu is known to all. The lesser known thing is that the Karthi Sivakumar starrer's Telugu version will storm a whopping number of 450 cinema halls in Andhra Pradesh.

"Since Karthi enjoys huge fan following in Andhra and all his earlier films, which were dubbed and released there, were hits, Saguni was simultaneously made in Telugu also," sources say.

"This first straight Telugu film of Karthi will be released in more than 450 theatres in Andhra Pradesh. Expectations are running high on the movie and it has been sold for a very good price," they add.

Directed by newcomer Shankar Dayal, the film has music by G V Prakash Kumar. Pranitha of 'Udhayan' fame is the heroine. A comical sattire, 'Saguni' is enjoying a solo release in Tamil Nadu this week.
