Saif Ali Khan is all set to do his second film right after doing Being Cyrus with Homi Adajania. Saif will be seen as and in Thagi, Adajania's next, a fully masala film. Thagi is an action film about a crook who goes on a conning spree. Everything is being kept hush hush about the film as it's being produced under Saif's production house illuminati Films. Says our source, "Saif chose Adajania as his director because he feels their sensibilities match and work wonders together on screen. Thagi is going to be an out and out masala caper but with Saif and Homi's sensibilities."

When contacted Homi Adajania confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am in talks with Saif about Thagi. But I can't disclose any more details at this point."

Looks like Saif is ready to wow the audience with yet another maverick performance., just like he has done in the past. Saif Ali Khan has always wowed the audience and critics alike by springing up one good performance after another. It all started with a turning point in his career with his performance in Dil Chahta Hai which was essentially an Aamir Khan starrer then. He received much acclaim for his role as Sameer with a prominent critic calling it his career-best performance. The success of this film firmly established Saif as one of the industry's most bankable stars.

Since then the prince of Bollywood had many box office successes such as Kal Ho Na Ho Hum Tum and Salaam Namaste and yet he won lots of critical acclaim for his performance in a rare negative role for the film Ek Hasina Thi and for Parineeta (2005). His performance in Hum Tum even bagged him the National Film Award for Best Actor.

The bankable Khan then took a chance of a lifetime by playing the lead role in the offbeat English-language film Being Cyrus and bagged enormous acclaim for his villainous role in the Indian adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello, Omkara. A critic went to the extent of stating - "Saif Ali Khan plays evil Langda Tyagi brilliantly. Sure, the actor deserves the highest award for this role".

Omkara marked Saif's emergence into the very forefront of his acting peers and now he repeats his magic act in his recent release Tashan.

Critics as well as the masses can't stop raving about his performance in Tashan. "Saif has held his own in spite of the presence of Akshay Kumar who's a box office favorite and Anil Kapoor who is a seasoned actor. Saif not only sizzles with Kareena on the screen but he has delivered yet another rocking performance in Tashan. Plus he's looking stylish as ever. Saif is easily the only actor we have today who's a style icon and a superstar at the same time!"
