Noted Malayalam actor Salim Kumar has been named as best actor and Bhavana as actress for their outstanding performance in Achanuragatha Veedu and Mayookham respectively.
Talking to newspersons, Jury Chairman G Hiran, said for the Filmcity Award, they have selected Achuvinte Amma produced by P V Gangadharan, under the banner of Grihalakshmi Productions.
Sathyan Anthikad has been adjudged as best Director for the movie Achuvinte Amma.
Hiran said veteran actress Kaviyoor Ponnamma will be honored with Chalachitraratnam award for her overall contribution to Malayalam film industry. Indrajeet for Fingerprint and Samvrata Sunil for Achanurangatha Veedu bagged special jury awards, he added.
