Salim Ahamed is busy with Pathemari, his new venture after AdamintaMakanAbu and Kunjananthanta Kada. With Mammootty doing the lead role in the movie, the film will depict the life of malayali people in the gulf countries.

It will trace the evolution of malayali life abroad.

The film will depict two friends who travelled to the gulf in Pathemari –Pallikkal Narayanan, and his friend Moydeen. They spend the lion’s share of their life struggling abroad and over the 50 years of their life, the film will show the changes that have happened in both the countries. Pathemari touches the human soul as it is a tale of hardship and struggle in a far off land by people who have no experience in the life abroad.
