Despite the ban that was given to his Vishwaroopam, Kamal Hassan is being supported by the film industry. Not just the Kollywood, other industries too are lending their support to the legend. The Tamil Nadu government has banned the release of 'Vishwaroopam' in the state. The reason for this ban has been reported to be that the film contains scenes disregarding the Muslims.

Bollywood star, Salman Khan has tweeted in support to Kamal saying, "Respect art, respect artist, respect audience. I support Kamal Hassan.Censor board has passed it too naaa. Sure.100% gonna see it. Dheko yaar its a movie n thr r only 2 kinds of movies good or bad. hit n flop N only people who decide r 1s who buy tickets."
