For thousands of Canadian fans, it was a sight they weren't quite expecting to witness. However, trust Salman Khan to throw surprises at a given opportunity. For promotion of his first international production 'Dr. Cabbie' that features Vinay Virmani as the central protagonist, it wasn't just a formal blink-and-miss appearance of the superstar as he spent a good 30 minutes on stage while regaling a strong crowd.

"That is commendable as Salman didn't intend to make his visit a spectacle. In fact he announced his plans merely a day before taking a flight to Canada. The word spread soon enough and once he landed on the stage, a crowd of around 15000 people had already gathered. In fact close to 5000 people couldn't step in as there was no space available to accommodate any more. Even with all the rush around him, Salman made it a point with the organizers to ensure that there were ample refreshments available for those who were waiting to catch a glimpse of him," informs our source from Canada.

While he was also seen personally escorting a few guests who were differently abled, on stage he was pretty much on fire when joined by 'Dr. Cabbie' lead Vinay Virmani along with other cast members Kunal Nayyar and Isabelle Kaif. He also gave a glimpse of what 'Dr. Cabbie' had in the offering by performing on some of the highlight songs from the film, including 'Dal Makhani'.

The film is set for release in Canada on 19th September and would be traveling internationally post that.
