"Shanthanu Bhagiyaraj and I were friends even before I entered filmdom. The reports which claim that both of us are in love with each other are incorrect," says Sandhya.
"Shanthanu's sister Saranya too is my best friend. And I share a very good rapport with their mother Poornima Bhagiyaraj. When I see Shanthanu in functions, how can I stop talking to him?" she asks.
Saying that it was Poornima who first told her that there was a gossip in a magazine relating her with Shanthanu, Sandhya says, "he is my good friend. We don't have any other intentions."
Claiming that her forthcoming films 'Odipolama' and 'Nootrukku Nooru' would fetch her fame, Sandhya says her characterisation in both the movies is so strong.
"I would act in movies which have enough importance to my role. There is no point in acting a usual heroine who romances the hero, sings and shakes legs with him and reappear when the film nears its climax," she says.
