Sanjay Dutt's biopic to be produced by wife and Rajkumar Hirani

Speculations had been rife that Sanjay Dutt’s good friend and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, who has done many films with the actor, is planning to direct a biopic on Dutt. Now talks are that the project will be co-produced by Dutt’s wife Maanyata.

Earlier buzz was also that Ranbir Kapoor has showed his interest in the biopic and willing to play Sanjay Dutt in the film. However, since he is currently busy with Anurag Basu’s ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and has Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Tamasha’ on hand, Ranbir will get serious on Hirani’s venture once he finishes the two projects.
