There is a secret wish in Santhanam - that to direct a film. The top comedian of Tamil cinema is even ready with a story and is waiting to make it as a film after completing his acting commitments.

"The hero of my maiden directorial venture will be the one who likes my script and who gives his call-sheet to me. It will be a comedy-sentiment story with a nice message at the end," Santhanam says.

Giving more details, he adds: "India is the land of spirituality and science. There are many untouched subjects and untold stories here. My movie will throw light on these things."
