A few years back Santhanam was the most preferred friend for Vijay, Ajith, Suriya,Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Jiiva, Arya, Vishal, Simbu, Dhanush and most others. After tasting success as a solo hero in Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham` and inimey Ippadithaan` Santa has decided to only take on projects as the leading man and has stopped appearing as the sidekick.

Now we learn that Siruthai Siva has approached Santhanam to do a very important role in Thala 57` and industry insiders say that since it is Ajith , it is most likely that Santhanam will give his nod. It may be recalled that Santhanam`s roles in both Siruthai` directed by Siva and Veeram` where his combination with Ajith was highly appreciated. We`ll have to wait for official word.
