Sarath Kumar got hurt while shooting in Malaysia for his forthcoming movie '1977'. He was hit in his legs by a stick during a stunt scene. He was immediately admitted in a hospital and was given treatment.

The actor cum political leader decided to come back to Chennai to take rest for some days. He returned to Chennai on January 11. He was well received by his fans, party members, and his wife Radhika.

Sarath Kumar is walking with the help of a walking stick. It is learnt that the injury is nothing serious and there is no cause to worry.

The shooting is expected to resume soon.
