Last week actor and politician R.Sarathkumar condemned the Beep song saying that any song insulting women should be condemned. But now in the backdrop of police search operation and calls for severe punishment for Simbu for creating the song, the senior star softned his stand about the song saying that it is not a punishable crime.

In a statement issued to press, Sarathkumar said by creating the Beep song Simbu has done a mistake that needs to be pardoned and not a crime that needs to be punished. He said pardoning a offender is the great value that the humankind has to imbibe. He also defended Simbu stating that the song was leaked by someone else without Simbu's knowledge and he has not released it intentionally in public platforms.

The former Nadigar Sangam President further stated that Simbu has become the scapegoat for an act of his detractor who wanted to destroy his future.

It is worth recalling that actress and Sarathkumar's Radhika had defended Simbu yesterday and had urged the Nadigar Sangam to support the actor in this issue.
