They struck gold whenever they came together. After ‘Subramaniapuram’ and ‘Naadodigal’, the triumphant duo Sasikumar and Samuthirakani is now back with ‘Easan’, which will hit the screens come Friday.

Says Sasikumar, “Easan will be a straight contrast to ‘Subramaniapuram’. While my first venture was set in a rural backdrop and a retro film, ‘Easan’, in the backdrop of Chennai, will speak about modern day life.”

On working with Samuthirakani again and again, Sasi says, “we share a very good rapport. As an actor, he is ready to do anything I require and as a director he would ensure that I give my best in front of camera.”

Echoing Sasi, Samuthirakani says, “Sasi wanted me to gain weight for my Chithappa role in ‘Subramaniapuram’. I did so. He wanted me reduce few kilos for the police officer role in ‘Easan’. And I hit the gym. Similarly, he is always willing to do whatever I demand as a director.”
