Sathyam starring Vishal and Nayanthara in the lead role had a soft launch in Chennai last week.

The movie to be directed by cinematographer -turned-director Rajasekhar simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu went to floors recently.

Sathyam features Vishal in the role of an honest and upright police officer. Nayanthara plays a woman TV reporter. The highlight of the movie is that popular Kannada actor Upendra has been roped into play the baddie.

Produced by Vishal's brother Vikram Krishna, Sathyam has musical score by Harris Jayaraj.

Meanwhile, Vishal's Malaikottai is fast nearing completion. Starring Priyamani opposite him, Malaikottai is expected for a release soon.
