Sathyaraj film faces hurdle

Environmental activists are planning to initiate legal proceedings against granting permission to shoot 'Nagarajacholan MA, MLA' inside the sensitive forest areas near Siruvani hills.

The film, which is the 50th directorial venture of Manivannan, has Sathyaraj playing the lead role. It is a sequel to the duo's yesteryear hit 'Amaidhi Padai'

According to S Jayachandran and K Mohanraj, members of Tamil Nadu Green Movement, there was a Supreme Court order prohibiting any non forestry activity in such sensitive areas.

They said they would initiate legal proceedings against the principal chief conservator of forests, for allegedly giving permission to the crew to shoot there.
