Sathyaraj plays the role of an 80-year-old man in Thangar Bachan's Onbathu Rupai Nottu.

The movie, inspired by Thangar Bachan's short story with the same title, features former national award-winning actress Archana.

‘It is one of the challenging characters that I have played in my career spanning three decades’, Sathyaraj said.

Thangar Bachan said, 'It is story of an elderly couple left uncared by their kith and kin. The film revolves around three different periods. The narration begins in 1972 and ends in 2007'.

'We shot a major portion of the film in interior Tamilnadu’, Thangar says.
