The stills of Thalaivaa had Sathyaraj featuring a serious look was unveiled last month along with the first look of the movie, sending in rounds of speculation on his role in this movie. A lot of talk in K-Wood is that Sathyaraj’s role is on the lines of Nayagan, power packed and that of a genuine Samaritan.

However the director has already said in one too many media interactions that this movie is not to compared with Nayagan, and so its still a guessing game. Sathyaraj and Vijay came together not far away from “Nanban”, and the duo had quite a role to comment on. Thalaivaa is slated for an August release during the Ramzan holiday, and another interesting aspect is that Vijay will be playing a Muslim in this movie.
