"Shooting 'Aayirathil Oruvan' has been a fulfilling experience. Every scene is a challenge. So the long gap is unavoidable. The film will definitely be one in a thousand (Aayirathil Oruvan), a wholesome entertainer," says Selvaraghavan.

Happy that his three-long year work is over, the filmmaker, who is currently directing Vikram for a film produced by Ramesh Babu, says, "It is a movie that is technically rich. The story is not your usual run-of-the-mill stuff."

"Even the narration is very different. It begins in 2009 and goes back to the early 12th century. There are references about Chola regime in Tamil Nadu. The valour and intelligence of our forefathers form the crux," he says.

Claiming that 'Aayirathil Oruvan', starring Karthi, Reema Sen and Andrea is an entertaining movie but would be thought-provoking, Selvaraghavan adds, "The film demanded state-of-the-art graphic works. It took for several months to complete it. The end product is nothing but amazing."
