In the good old time, when satellite television was not yet deeply penetrated, directors/producers would proudly say that their film had loads of sentiment to make the audience cry. Nowadays, sentiment is a scary word for them.

The reason is quite simple, if you ask the maker of the parody show film called Sudigaadu. Bheemaneni Srinivas is spot on when he says that audience don't come to theatres to watch sentiment in a movie. "They get ample doses of it in television serials", he remarks.

"Making a successful movie has become a race these days. If we don't tell a story tightly and in a refreshing manner, people will not like to watch a film,” he adds. That is why, Srinivas took a long break before coming up with a worthy movie.

Sudigaadu is slated to be released on August 24 in eight countries. It is for the first time that a Naresh movie is hitting the screens in Chennai and Mumbai as well.
