Ever since, Karan Johar took to Twitter and announced Gauri Shinde's upcoming movie will have Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt romancing each other. This news made headlines and fans went gaga over it. Many also raised eyebrows due to the much visible age gap between the two actors. But recently the cat was let out of the bag as it was revealed that Shah Rukh won't romance Alia in the film, this news was confirmed by SRK himself.

Media reports say that, Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the role of a love guru in the movie, he will also be seen in a cameo. At a recent interview SRK said, "I should think it's a proper role...The film is a little different from my other Hindi films. Most of my scenes are with Alia so, I keep coming in. It's not a hero-heroine type of a film. It's a different slice-of-life kind of a film. It's a different film for me because it's not a typical 'lead lead' as such. I have shot for 49 days so, I must be having a good role."

He also adds to say that, "It's a proper role as he shot for 49 days for the film. I think in the last four to five years, I have heard so many people telling me that I am doing the same stuff... that I started believing that I do the same stuff. I as an actor try to keep it different for me. I just know what I can do and what I am offered and within that offering I try to be different."

This untitled film is jointly produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Productions. And this will mark Gauri Shinde's second directorial after 'English Vinglish'.
