Amidst the current on-going cricket politics, there rose a filmy buzz that our King Khan has been offered to play the role of Indian Premiere League chairman Lalit Modi. The offer was for a venture by Percept Picture Company titled ‘Commissioner’.

However, not wanting to get into the controversial game, Shah Ruhk Khan declined the film. Interestingly the film was offered to the star by Modi himself.

In fact sources reveal that the film was announced when everything was very rosy on the IPL front; but once the controversy on Lalit Modi started of late, it has become a very sensitive topic. So the sources believe SRK would have felt to keep away from such matters and refused the film citing that he is very busy with his home production ‘Ra.One’.

Moreover, ace filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar was also approached to direct the film. But even he didn’t want to touch this subject calling it very controversial. As of now the film is said to be directed by Shamin Desai.

Grapevines are rife that Ajay Devgn and Irrfan Khan are being next considered for the film.
